Island of Creativity

The basic idea is based on the shape of Inkscape logo, forming a floating island. That's an imaginary island of creativity. A colorful idea factory.
Inkscape, with its power, ease of use and community support is a perfect tool that give us total freedom to focus on delivering any design ideas.

aside from my own entry (which I can't vote on, har har) this is the entry that most captures the spirit of Inkscape for me - it sends a clear message that you can really make whatever you want of the tools you're given, limited only by imagination. good work and good luck!

@Kristijan Žic - How much time did it took you to create this?
I did it little by little, on my free time after work, keep playing around and tweaking. but when near the deadline, i spent like most of my weekend for this.
So I'm not sure the exact time spent. i believe more than 24 hours accumulation?
It was fun and i really Enjoyed every minutes on it

This is the best and most appropriate for a v1.0 version. It's involved, interesting, and shows the power of the app. Marketing-wise, it's the right fit.

Hi Bayu,I am from China,if I use the island-of-creativity.svg file in my inkscape tutorial book, does the whole book have to be CC-BY-SA?

Bayu Rizaldhan Rayes wrote :

Hi @LzPorter6,

Feel free to use it in your book :-)
CC-BY-SA was required by the contest. I'm not expert about licensing things, and i'm not really sure.
But in my understanding, A book is a larger work and not an adaption of the drawing. The drawing will be a separate element, and the book doesn't need to be ShareAlike/can be licensed under any terms. CMIIY.
