Beginners' Questions Orientation of a star shape?

I'm having trouble getting star shapes oriented properly. In the image below the degree of the orientation is - according to Inkscape - 0 degrees. How can I make the star sit nicely on one of its points?

Press and hold the [ctrl] key while you click and drag on the canvas. Your vertex will snap to 15 degree angle increments. Drag straight down to stand on a point.

A 5-point star means 360/5=72* which isn't divisible by 15*. Increments can be adjusted in Preferences.

    Hello,

https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/quickest-way-to-precisely-rotate-an-object/  is somewhat related I think.

Thank you, @GwenaëlQ, that did the trick! Although I had to convert the star shape to a path to move the rotation center. Could it be done without converting?

@Paddy_CAD, @Polygon: I see that I was a bit unclear in my original question. The problem is that the initial orientation of the star shape is random (?), so turning it in 72 degree increments doesn't really help; it's still random plus a multiple of 72 degrees. In my original post the star is at 0 degrees, according to Inkscape. I might be doing something wrong though!

When using the star/Polygon tool to initially draw, the Ctrl key also works.
