[As a (busy) Retired SW Engineer (as of 1 Apr 23) and current CNC "Maker"] I was looking in the FAQ for macOS specific stuff, and I noticed that the FAQ (as well as other pages) seem rather dated [0.xx "beta" references, etc.] In 1990, my favorite boss "taught" me that complaining was volunteering ... I'm willing to dig into the history of InkScape releases, and "modernize" the FAQ [https://inkscape.org/learn/faq/] My specific question that I have not (yet) found an easy solution to is MacOS keyboard shortcuts not working for me.
The FAQ references X11, but I have Inkscape 1.3 (0e150ed, 2023-07-21) on a Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019 iMac running "Sonoma" macOS 14.1.2 (23B92) ... as far as I can see, there is no more "X11" in the process stack.
