In the Objects/Layers tab: If I click the open/close button to expand a layer, Inkscape opens the layer I selected, yet, but it also might open another layer...or not. I haven't found a pattern for it except that it happens enough to be bothersome because the list of layers jumps to a new position and often as not I lose track of whatever it was I clicked on.
So, two issues here:
1. Inkscape often opens more layers than I actually clicked on
2. The treeview often jumps away from the layer I just expanded
