    Hello,

my name is Christian and I am member of the maintenance team of "Back In Time", which is an rsync-based backup software targeting GNU/Linux desktop users.

I am not an Inkscape user nor a designer or creator. So I am kind of new to this community.

Please let me ask, if it might be appropriate to ask in your forum if there are designers or creators who like to contribute an application logo to our project? In my experience this is not an easy topic. Beside the creative aspects there are some legal issues need to be discussed beforehand. With respect to this community I don't provide a link in this initial posting but can do it later.

Maybe the Drawing Challenges, Contests, Competitions section might be a good place for such a request?

My apologize, if this request might not be appropriate or spam-like.

    Regards,
    Christian

EDIT: There are two previous threads written by related to the same topic. Here I was asking how to reach creators. And here I was discussing concrete drafts, but there was no end to this discussion and I think the creators droppend the task because of legal issues. There is also a thread about copyright and license issues with application logos.

How many threads are needed to cover one topic?

    Hello Polygon,

first of all it is not necessary to repost links I still have posted, plus the link to the current thread itself. I see no need for this.

On the other hand all these threads are "cold", meaning to old. In other forums it is treated as rude to reanimate old threads.

Anyway, you as the moderator, can help me as a new user, to learn more about your rules if they are kind of different to other forums.

And it is not the same topic. This thread IMHO has a clear question. But you have not answered it. But maybe your reaction is an indirect answer?

    Regards,

    Christian

How about you try at https://opensourcedesign.net/jobs/  - as apparently the Inkscape forums do not lead to success with finding someone who does your graphic for you?
