    Hello,

I'm a beginner. I have watched multiple tutorials on setting up a document and exporting documents. My needlework designs were created with the bezier tool, which look great in inkscape, the lines are smooth, but when I print from in inkscape, or save it as a pdf, export it as a png, open up a svg all with over 350 dpi the lines print out jagged, when I go to the printers website they say my file is low resolution. I've changed things to px, I've increased the stroke width, I've increased the dpi. Nothing. Help!

    Hi AliJen,
When you print directly from Inkscape, you get a small printing menu.
There are 2 tabs, the right one is Rendering.
It is possible that the rendering is set to bitmap, with for example 72 dpi.
If you choose vector, your own prints should be smooth.

The other thing is, when exporting to png, first you make your image the size it needs to be. It is 8x12 cm.
But the lines are thin: 0.5 mm. Are these the sizes that you need?
If you export it at 400 dpi, it should have enough pixels for smooth printing on this size.

If it needs to be bigger, first enlarge it in Inkscape to the size you need, with the line- thickness you want.
And then again export it at 400 dpi.
