I have an old grouped object that when you select, is much larger than the actual object. It presumably is referring back to a previous group.
I have attached it in a separate file. How do I cut the connection?
One or more of your filters extends far beyond the bounding box of the associated shapes. Select all then [Filters > Remove Filters]. Of course, this changes your illustration so I admit this isn't really a solution.

I'd forgotten about the filters. And in future I'll have to be more careful with them!!
I can´t find anything outside "all selected" with Inkscape1.2.2:
Polygon. If you zoom selection [3] you'll see the extent of the filters.
