Usually I am not that much into valentines, but thanks to @Nemecsek and his finished artwork, I was tempted to do something in the style of Eiko Ojala.
I'm also not really big on Valentines day, but I can't let a challenge go by without entering!
I've gone for something fairly simple, focusing on the inside of the card, rather than the outside. I used a romantic poem on the right-hand page, rather than a cheesy Valentine rhyme, and a simple silhouette on the left. Used the Perspective tool to distort the writing and graphic to fit the page.
@z3z The lighting successfully gives the illustration the appearance of card. The poem is a nice touch and the margins fit it well. Good job!
PS. I share both your and @mondspeer's sentiment on Valentines Day. Too commercial and rigid in expectation for my liking. Personally, I prefer spontaneity and fluidity of expression.
Hi!... I just hope this work can serve as inspiration and motivation for the whole community... but, I'm already working on another art to share soon... greetings to all!
I hope no one bothers, but here's my vision for this day. I have replaced St. Valentine with a croupier named "Sam Valentine". The rest is self-explanatory. The casino atmosphere seemed to me the most appropriate 💲💰😁
I guess the bird could be me, or anyone. (Maybe a "love bird" ?) I suppose I have a face only a mother could love (tolerate). I choose the "bird" just to be humorous. Thanks for the kind words.
@DG-RA Just wanted to say your card with the cats is really nice! I will memorize that "3D-effect" for the future, especially the front hearts make it stand out nicely. And the cats are really nice work. Pleasant composition all together I think.
And, @ken10001000 , I've already had a few laughs at your images. They are clever and "simple". In a good way I mean! :-)
I hope to have time to participate myself in some future challenges.. (If life does not come in the way..)

Here it is. :D
@mondspeer Brilliant work. I think you have pulled off the style well. It's good to see you again! A great first entry!

Thanks for another well illustrated entry!
Thank you @pacer for your feedback.
And hello @z3z good one one the perspective. Light, proportion and text all work well togerher.
Hi. Like others have shared, I am not a fan of the commercialization of "Valentine's". And so, here is my tongue-in-cheek card. Simple, like me.
Hello! a question, can I upload several artworks?
@DG-RA Hi Rafael. Yes, you are welcome to submit multiple entries. I look forward to seeing them.
Hi!... I just hope this work can serve as inspiration and motivation for the whole community... but, I'm already working on another art to share soon... greetings to all!
Beautiful work, Rafael!
@DG-RA A lovely card. I like the open source feel. The repeating heart pattern is a nice effect. Looking forward to your next card!

@mrks9 Great concept. I knew you would find inspiration somewhere. Agreed, I guess you could call it relationship tax?
@pacer Many thanks. Relationship tax Haha, that name matches it perfectly 🤣
Hello!... Here's my new card, I hope you like it...
Thanks for your appreciation Ken!
Here is another simple card idea. Get "the word out" to our loved ones, one way or another.
@ken10001000 Does the bird on the front represent you? Your submissions always make me smile. Thank you for another fun entry.

A simple rabbit, of sorts - card.
With luv that makes you go "hippity hoppity" inside.
