In my old version of inkscape, when i imported a pdf to place into my document; i used the internal import and it placed it such that i could position it on my page.
Now using that seting it imports it as a seperate page.
I can set it to caro and that does the same as the old way, but how can i set it to always be caro; so i dont have to keep selecting it?
Sorry for the lack of responce , have been rather tied up with other things.
cairo is exactly what i am refering to.
Is there a way to set its behavour to be the standard, rather than internal import?
I cant remember what the old version actuall was as a stansdard, but i didnt have to change it each time and the import behaved as setting it to Cairo does now.
I would rather just click import like i used to and not have to keep setting it.
If it doesn't keep the tab selection the next time you open the dialog, then it's likely not saved in the preferences. You can make a feature request at https://inkscape.org/report , though.

Ok my spelling mistake 'Ciaro'
That doesn't explain anything for me... Oh, wait. You mean 'Cairo'...
