Hi, I'd like ( in fact all Inkscape users will ) to see adobe illustrator's like Shape Builder tool into Inkscape.
I think it'll change the whole workflow of Inkscape users.
Yes, I read the post about attaching the photo or video of feature thought. But, I think adobe illustrator's shape builder tool doesn't require an introduction.
Personally, I've never seen Illustrator, so if I were a developer, I would need a full description. I have no idea how many developers are familiar with Illustrator.
Well, I do not know Illustrator at all either as it is too expensive. So, please tell us what that really useful thing does, so we can upvote your request at GitLab.
From what I understand, including videos I've seen, Illustrator makes it's "easy to use" tools, easy to use, by using artificial intelligence-like code. It magically pops up whatever you need next without asking. I doubt Inkscape could do that. Not anytime soon, anyway.
In this specific case it it is not that fancy code (I think) basically it combine the tools that are already in inkscape touch to select and boolian operations it will unite shape of you don't hold any modificators and if you hold alt it will aubstract what you touch
I think the same function could be done by using Path function but to be honest, the path function confuses a lot. Having a tool like Shape Builder would help us make our workflow so easy. So, please try to implement that in Inkscape.
yashArya please keep in mind for future too, to place the links both sides i.e. this dicussion link there, and that issue link here. And also harshil, a relavant & short video of the feature you are referring to, so that even those who dont know that thing can see on the fly (as if we were to research it on our own, it maybe time consuming and misleading for us) 👍😊
I'm sorry for that but I think that feature would be nice for Inkscape users. I assure that researching and spending time into that feature will increase the productivity of a lot of users.
There is no work going on about it. I think we've all the things which we need ( ex. path effects and LPE ) to implement this feature. just a few tweaks on the UX side and we're done. maybe I'm wrong.

Most developers will never see your request here. This message tells how to request new features: https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/how-to-report-bugs-or-request-new-features/

It is basically a more intuitive/user-friendly way how to do boolean operations on your shapes on canvas

It's an interesting set of multi-path selection features. Sort on on-canvas boolean operations. Which since we're all about on-canvas editing 🙃
I'd probably design it into the path editing tool. But this should be a feature issue if it's not already.
