I think I saw 2 or 3 posts from you about this tech. When did you come up with this tech? I ask because only here I learned this method. Never seen it at a Facebook groups or at Reddit.
As far as I can tell it was a result of simply playing+testing. Strange that the link isn´t working. Perhaps the "Profile" is private - don´t know. Here it is again:
Forum graphics I think are private in your gallery. To make them public in your gallery you have click the wrench at the bottom right of the gallery image then publish it. I didn't know that until 2 seconds ago. I just did that with the image I posted in this thread.
To translate what I just wrote: If you post an image in a forum message, it won't show up in your gallery for the public until you publish it.
I suspect you have thousands of tips that no one even knows!
I been deleting mine thinking they would be part of my max uploads.LOL
To be honest, without your hint I would not have suspected that my attachments in my profile were under lock and key. And even now I wouldn't think of publishing these rough quick aids in a gallery. And yes, the number of attachments is well over 2500, which is why I am hardly able to find anything again. It is simply much quicker to generate a new tip than to find the same one that has already been uploaded.
Ok - which one of you taught me this trick? Polygon, Tyler?
First time I tried it. So much easier to do. Thanks.
Don't ask how I was doing this before. You really don't want to know.
Guilty as charged. 😅
One of many https://inkscape.org/~Polygon/★shapefill+1
Saves a bunch of time and my laptop doesn't go into meltdown.
Is that the correct link? I get a page not found.
I can´t find the threads where I illustrate the procedure - just the GIFs in my "Resources" under my profile. Link works here. And this thread without imagery: https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/create-a-cutline-around-an-image-for-glowforge/#c76197

I didn't know that until yesterday. As I said, been deleting mine thinking it was part of the upload quota.
