Is there a way when Inkscape opens, it will open to my preferred settings? For example, I use inches not mm and I dislike every time I open Inkscape I have to go to preference and select these settings. Is there a way to default this? Thanks.
You can change the default template, I believe the units are stored in the page document itself and when you open a document it shifts to using the units there. When opening a new page, it uses a template.
Look for template settings and see if that can fix the issue.
