I use Inkscape version 1.2 on Linux.

This question is about placement of a new page. It works fine, but I want to change the default placement of additional pages.

To see what I mean do the following:

    1) Open new document

    2) Click on the "pages" tool (not sure what its official name is, it is at bottom of the toolbar)

    3) Click on the + for a new page. The page will be placed right of the existing place. I can manually move the page at a location of preference.

I want to know how to get new pages automatically below the existing pages.

Reason for asking: I use Inkscape to make multi-page documents like slideshows (just because I find this easier in Inkscape than LibreOffice). I just find it much

easier and easier to navigate if pages are below one another (especially because you can then scroll down all your pages with the mousewheel). Left right scrolling across multipages is more difficult (but any tips welcome).

I'd file a feature request for the option of new page locations.

Pages are quite new and Preferences/options for the tool are still in development.

In the meantime, scrolling with the shift key should get L-R direction (x-axis) and there is a page navigation widget in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
