I’m just starting to learn Inkscape. I need an active stylus pen that will work in windows 10 AND Inkscape. I bought one but it only works with certain windows apps. Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Which one did you buy?

Wacom - Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus for Windows Ink; 2nd Generation - Gray From Best Buy. It only works on a few windows drawing apps. We found a work around though. I bought a drawing tablet with its own pen, and that seems to work fine on both of my laptops. At least my wife can start learning Inkscape now.

I use Windows 10 and I have an old Wacom Bamboo. It works reasonably well in Krita (I wouldn't say 100%, because sometimes it crashes during some trace, luckily)... but I couldn't use it well in either Gimp or Inkscape: both programs became unstable after I enabled Wacom and it was working fine again when I disabled it.

Oh, so you have a computer with built-in digitizer? Don't they come with a stylus when you buy them?

I've had two Wacom tablets, an Intuos and a Cintiq. Both were plug and play, never had any problems in any program. Maybe I've been lucky.

Anyway, good you found a solution! :)
