I made a drawing that incorporates outset lines (all good) , then I saved a copy of that Inkscape file, first as a pdf (from within Inkcape) and then later renamed that pdf as an '.ai' file (outside of Inkscape) so that a colleague elsewhere could open it in Illustrator. The file opened fine in Illustrator and looked good, however, all the outset lines had disappeared or are not visible.
Can anyone help me as to prevent this from happening or make the outset lines visible/recoverable?
Good morning,
I made a drawing that incorporates outset lines (all good) , then I saved a copy of that Inkscape file, first as a pdf (from within Inkcape) and then later renamed that pdf as an '.ai' file (outside of Inkscape) so that a colleague elsewhere could open it in Illustrator. The file opened fine in Illustrator and looked good, however, all the outset lines had disappeared or are not visible.
Can anyone help me as to prevent this from happening or make the outset lines visible/recoverable?
Many thanks in advance,
Jen
Try to make "Object to Path " first on the outset objects before saving - so the outset will be "baked" in.
Hi PixelPest and thank you! I'm learning and that's a great help. Jen
