I have an image that I created and it has about 5 different layers. It is perfect, however if on the menu I select "Object" and ten "Group" the object is grouped together, however the image has lost much of it's detail looking very dull. So how can I preserver the image so that grouping it won't change the image in any way?
Grouping shapes should not change their appearances. It's a tool for manipulating multiple shapes simultaneously, but each shape retains its individual style. Perhaps you can upload "befoe" and "after" images.
