I've recently got into drawing vectors and I'm now looking for a tool to make the lines move. I did a bit of googling and tbh it's a bit of a needle in a haystack as I really have no idea what kind of software I'm even looking for.
Now what I need is to make some simple designs animate and export some form of video-file that I'd be able to import into video editing software (DV Resolve). Just some landscapes with, i dunno, some moving clouds and swaying trees or something as background for my music on youtube. Mainly 2D, might move up to 3D-design at some point in the future. Doesn't necessarily have to be a free software, as long as it's very beginner-friendly, maybe with community-tutorials and all that. Now the reason I'm asking instead of spending my time researching, is that a few years back when i first got into video editing, for some reason I figured that Blender would be a terrific choice for learning the basics (i mean, how hard can it be?). That experience put me off video editing for a good few months.
tldr: I want to animate inkscape-drawn 2D-vectordesign and render video file, what software should I be learning?
Hey all,

This might be a good starting point. We're not the only ones thinking about this.

SVG.js works for me, editing (quite simple) scripts directly in Inkscape and showing in all recent browsers: https://inkscape.org/forums/tutorials/easy-animation-of-your-svg-in-inkscape-with-svgjs/
For more complex animations I like SynfigStudio, there's a plugin to export Inkscape to Synfig format.
I tried out ENVE. It's basic. I don't know if it's still under development. It's at: https://maurycyliebner.github.io/

I hope this helps. Best wishes, Roy
