    Hello One and All!

    Please accept my congratulations on opening a new chapter in Inkscape development!  Pour the champagne and don't say "When."  I'm looking forward to taking it on a cruise in low and high gear.

    I toast with you to the future, which has just arrived,

    Roy

    I always love getting the new updates.  Excited to give it a run as well.

    Just popped into it and two key features I use are gone or I can't find. Any suggestions....

    1. SOLVED:  Using my mouse wheel to zoom in and out vs. panning. (Used to be an option under preferences)  EDIT:  Found Under Preferences>Interface>Keyboard>Modifiers>Canvas.

    2. Zoom buttons are gone. Anyone know if there is a way to dock it or tie it to a toolbar like before?

    TIA.

    1. Prefernces->Behavior->Scrolling->

    (on macOS it´s shift+scrollwheel for left-to-right pan, ctrl+cmd+scrollwheel for zoom-In/out, scrollwheel up+down pan)

    2. is in the bottom right window Z:

    3. ? View->Split mode: None/Split/X-ray

    PixelPest.  Thanks.  What I'm looking for #1 is a way to set it so that I don't have to hold the Ctrl key with the mouse wheel to zoom.  (This was a feature previously.)  I don't ever use the panning feature, but do use the zooming all the time.   #2  These used to be in one of the top toolbars and have been removed.  #3 I did find the Split Mode--brain freeze, I guess.

    Thanks for the quick response and assistance/suggestions.

    1. free panning with leftmousebutton+spacebar needs to enabled at Preferences->Behavior->Scrolling->… (macOS middlemousebutton-click+drag)

    2. Never occurred to me - I´m used to use the scrollwheel

    Is there any way to minimise the docks ? Fill and Stroke, Export PNG etc which appears on the right-hand side. Otherwise, it will take a lot of screen space. Got used to minimising it in 1.0.

    Enjoying 1.1. Still to explore the new features. I downloaded beta and RC but didn't work on it much. The happiest experience so far, 1.0 crashes when trying fillet/chamfer LPE, not in 1.1. 🏄

    Awesome, Inkscape is my #1 choice for path-based work. Thanks for your hard work!

    I am inspired by your work done on the program 1.1 (updated from 0.9x)!

    I want and hope that the program will be able to use the icons in the menu of filters and extensions (at least default ones) in future to speed up the work.

    I could not install 1.1 with Mint 19.😕

    I was able to install 1.1 after upgrading Mint to 20. 😁
