Thank you. Yes i intentionally added the original outilines as black hidden objects just in case someone would like to have them for any modifying purpose. So the font is already bicolor and i do not understand your question.
So in fact you would like the font to be color sortable in the lettering tool . I did not do it because i was afraid it would be more confusing than useful : If you do color sort then all the outline will be grouped together and therefore not anymore within their respective letter group. Also, if you disable ignore hidden objects and layer in inkscape preference, then you can select one of the outline, use inkscape > edition > select same > stroke color to select everything with this stroke color.
So it can easily be done, just not sure that it should be done.
Thank you, Claudine, for the explanation. It does make sense.
But if possible, I would prefer to have the black contour visible in a bicolor font and then allow the user to choose to either stitch it or not.
That is, to me looks way easier to just click on color sort instead of
" ignore hidden objects and layer in inkscape preference, select one of the outline, use inkscape > edition > select same > stroke color to select everything with this stroke color.
Again I love that font and I know I will be using it a lot anyway.
I will make the font sortable, but i really don't want to unhid the blak running stitches as they are not meant to be embroidered as is, but only to help customize the font if one wish to. Thank you for your interest.
I love the new Ambigüe font, thank you.
It seems Ambigüe letters, in addition to the satin, have a bean stitch outline that is hidden by default (see attached). Is this intentional?
Also, even when the outline is made visible manually, it is stitched behind the satin (see letters 'e' and 's' in attached). Is this intentional?
Is it possible to make it a bicolor font so users can select the outlines or not instead of having to make them visible one letter at a time?
Thank you
Thank you.

Apparently, the system does not recognize the font as bicolor, and as a result, the 'color sort' button is inactive (see attached).
So, to use the outline, one would have to change thread after each letter as in the example below.
