I tried to draw an ellipse with inside horizontal lines to fill between them with colors. it worked!, but i want now remove the lines (only used for boundaries) ... and after removing empty space is present. I tried the smallest thickness (0,01) to have smallest empty space, but it's not clean.
How did you create this (I'm guessing the fill bucket tool?). If you're using the fill bucket tool, you can try adjusting the settings in the fill bucket toolbar (e.g. grow/shrink by). Note that this tool will have different effects at different zoom settings.
Hello,
I started Inkscape last week.
I tried to draw an ellipse with inside horizontal lines to fill between them with colors. it worked!, but i want now remove the lines (only used for boundaries) ... and after removing empty space is present. I tried the smallest thickness (0,01) to have smallest empty space, but it's not clean.
My example here : https://postimg.cc/NL3npsq5
Thanks for your help

Depending on what you want to do, it might be more useful to use an ellipse as a clip on a group of rectangles https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/clipping-and-masking.html or use boolean operations to generate your shape https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/boolean-operations.html
Yes, at first, i used the bucket tool
After reading this forum,i used the method you explain with boolean operations, result is now great, please check my posts on this link (Dunky77):

Thank for your help :-)
You're welcome, glad to hear you worked out a solution!
