Beginners' Questions Text Tool on Dev Edition

    So the new development version is just ama-Zing!

    But on my pc (win11 update) when I select the Text Tool and start typing, it reacts like I'm hitting Tool shortcut keys.

    Am I being a noob and overlooking something obvious?

    We may have overlooked it in a rush to get some wonderful rendering improvements in at the last week. Fix incoming (https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/merge_requests/3976)!

    Issue tracked at https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/3204 . As another warning: I wouldn't export to PDF either in 1.2-dev (https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/3203)

    We're hoping to add a second alpha release once these worst issues have been fixed.
