    Hi,

What are the quickest and reliable ways to, let say, straighten the star in the attached file. I would like to be to be able to put it down in the horizontal line.

More generally, how to rotate an object in such a way that two of its nodes are in contact with a line or a curve ?

Edit : Don't know how to edit the title but it should be "Quickest way to precisely rotate an object in relation to another"

    Thanks for listening

I'd done it the following way:

    1. Preferences --> Snapping --> Uncheck "Only snap the node closest to the pointer"
    2. Enable snap "Object rotation centers" and "Path"
    3. Move lowermost leg and make it snap to line.
    4. Double click at the star to enable rotating.
    5. Move the rotation snap handle (in center if not previously moved) and make it snap to lowermost leg of star.
    6. Freely rotate it right so that the leg bottom right snap to line.
