When opening a document and selecting "Document Properties" for the first time this opens with a normal window size. When closing and reopeningย "Document Properties" the second time its window size is almost at minimum. But I cannot resize it. Have to close and reopen Inkscape to get that normal window size again. Did not have thisย behaviour in version 0.92.
Hi Joe, I was just testing and it does not happen in Inkscape x64 v1.0 for Windows. The "Document Properties" window position is not remembered well though. It always appear moved to the right (in the x axis only) about half the window (dock) width.
Thanks for your response. In the meantime I also have the 1.0 version installed on my other computer with PCLinuxOS KDE5 running and there I did not experienced this problem. Do not know if it has something to do with the difference between the MATE and the KDE5 desktop. First I will try to do an Inkscape reinstall on my MATE computer and see if that solves the problem. If not, then I will try an AppImage install of Inkscape and see if that solves it. Will keep you informed.
Ah, thanks for sharing this link! So, I am not the only linux user experiencing this. But you have to help me out her to understand what you mean by "iconify the dialog" as a workaround. What exactly do you mean? Thanks in advance. Joe.
Oh, next to the *second* close button is the iconify button. Pressing it hides the dialog and puts an icon next to the dock. Clicking on the icon reopens the dialog.

Hi, no solution, but others have experienced this (see https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/1343 ). A workaround for when the problem occurs is to iconify the dialog, then show it again.

Yes, that gives a workaround! Thanks Nathan.
