    Hi all.

Is it possible to lock an object.Β  Not the whole layer, just one object on a layer.

    Thanks!

Hay, you can it via Object Properties. Go to Object - Object Properties and you can Lock/Unlock and Hide Objects.

    Ouch!Β  Ouch!Β  Ouch!

@RockNrolla Yes, I just tried it and you're right.Β  Thanks!

HOWEVER this makes the object "insensitive to the mouse"!!!Β  Which means that later on, I can't select the object to unlock it!!!

Other apps allow you to select a locked object (if only to unlock it)!!!

In this case, I immediately undid the lock (Cmd-Z) but how could I have unlocked it if I had closed, then re-opened the document???

EDIT 14h51:Β  I could "Select All", then pick the menu item "Unlock All".Β  Which works.Β  It would be a pain, though, if I only wanted to unlock one of several locked objects.
