I would like to share the news that the first version of the R `inkscaper` package is available https://github.com/JacekPardyak/inkscaper. This package allows you to create Simple Features (SF) objects from SVG files for analysis, static and interactive graphs (2D or 3D) and animations in R . As well as converting Simple Feature to SVG paths so that they can be manipulated later in R or Inkscape. I would be happy to hear if you like it :). Below example of the SF plot in R .
