Hi. Im using latest inkcape development. The open/import dialog windows appear to have been modified. Is there some way to copy and paste in the adress or to type text as it was possible 1.3? Thanks
Any idea when Inkscape 1.4-beta3 will be released for Windows? For some reason beta 2 is no longer working for me. It did a few weeks ago. Guessing a recent Windows update messed it up. Beta 1 continues to work but it doesn't use the native Windows file dialog.
Ok, i installed Beta3, and the old open dialog is back. BUT, i like the NEW open dialog. I choose it in the preference/interface/windows. But it have that issue. You cant type as you can in Gimp. Would be nice to be able to type, copy or paste. Is very usefull.

I´m on Mac and don´t see any changes in these import/open dialogs. Can we have before and after screenshot perhaps?
Yes, of course.
Compare the open dialog of Inkscape and Gimp, you can see in Gimp a pencil, that enable/disable typing or editing adress, while in Inkscape you cant, as you can before, to type of paste whatever you want.

I see a search option in Gimp which needs to be enabled but not in former or actual Inkscape versions:
@Aero Never was available on macOS afaik.

No. I use the 7z archive from Gitlab. 7z is what I normally use anyway.
When that happened to me, I deleted recently-used.xbel found in %localappdata%.
Neither do beta2. You need beta 3 for that.
Ok, good! Thanks all. So, it is been working to be fixed. That`s great.
Im not sure where to download the latest beta in the page you pointed me.
The download button have a dropdown list.
Thanks! the "artifact" word missed me.

@Aero - Thanks - installed the msi with no issues and the native Windows file dialog is now working! Yea!
@marcelocolina
Did you try Ctrl+L in the GTK open/save dialog?
@Aero
What! That did the trick. Never figure if you dont say it. Thanks very much.
An icon, as in gimp, to do what Ctrl+L do, would be apreciated.
