First - This is a issue I have on a computer running Windows 10, Inkscape 1.1.2. At home, running Fedora 35 Workstation (Gnome desktop), I'm not able to reproduce with empty file (and have not access to a sample file to test on).
It is a svgz file with multiple layers and grouping. It is an electrical/schematic drawing so actively using labels on text elements make sense in order to quickly find those related to each other. I'll try to strip it down and remove any legal/personal/technical information and I'll attempt to upload tomorrow.
In the meantime - Have anybody came across a similar issue before and have found a solution/workaround ? It kind of stupidly bogs down the workflow when it's not possible to utilize the search/replace feature of Inkscape. Thanks in advance 😀
I've just worked on the very same file today, and I was not able to reproduce the issue. Maybe it only take a restart of Inkscape to get rid of the problem.

I've attached an image, with a positive and negative search result.
What does your search result show ?
An update.

Today : Same as the first row.
Yesterday: Same as first row, but the "Replace all" -button was grayed out and not clickable.
