Has anyone else had this problem? I've now got the old version reinstalled to open my old projects.
Win 10
Edit: Actually it does work with some files - I just tested opening a basic file from 1.2 into 1.3. Just not the old files I have saved from 1.22 . The unopenable files are very hefty files with multiple layers and groups.

A sample file for evaluation could be helpful/

The sample file opens in ~5sec on my Mint 21 machine, v 1.3.
I can test in Windows later today.
Opens in MacOS 13.5 too.
Ok interesting Will be good to know if your windows treats the file with the same ease. Thanks for checking the file!
Reproduced in Windows.

Reproduced in Windows 10 and 11 if empty document is already open in another window when opening it.
Works fine if this is the only document opened or if the empty document is not empty anymore (draw a circle) before opening the testfile.
