When creating a text box I know you determine the size by dragging and creating a rectangle but I want to change the size of the BOX of existing text, but WITHOUT resizing the text. I.e. I drew the box too long and short, I need it to be shorter and higher. I'm sure I've done this somehow before but can't remember how...selecting the text box, using the text tools etc seems to have no way of resizing the box the text is in!
I periodically confuse myself by forgetting there are two kinds of text, one of which doesn't have a box so I should quit looking for it. Nope, I guess there are three kinds, which shows how much text I can create without really knowing what I'm doing!
Yes that's it! How did you get the handle to appear in the bottom-right corner? No matter what I do I can't get it to do that, it allows me to edit the existing text but I can't get the resizing handle to appear! :(
Okay I think I've got it! If you use the text tool to specify the location on the canvas you want the text but DON'T draw a text box, it seems to create a different sort of text object (one that can't have it's boundary changed afterwards). If you use the text tool and DRAW the text box first, when you double-click the text after you get the handle and can resize

Draw/establish a rectangle with the Text tool before start typing.
