Thanks for the demo Tyler. My first time on this forum and INSTANT ultra help. Much appreciated mate.
Inkscape seems to be a VERY capable program, but it'd be nice if a noob like me could easily work it and find such settings. (Interactive help within the program (somehow)).
Hello all,
I have viewed many tutorials regarding clipping an image inside of text, however the result for me isn't as expected, and I don't understand why.
The final result TEXT looks as I hoped, however the border grab handles have cropped to the image outline rather than to the text.
I had Inkscape v1.1, but today updated to v1.2.1. but the problem remains the same.
TJP images are mine, BEACH image is from a YouTube tutorial.
Any clues to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mort.
I'd check that the bounding-box is set to visual:
It works as expected here... can you share the file?
Use the paperclip at the bottom left of the comment box.
Thanks Tyler. That was the problem. It was set to Geometric bounding box rather than Visual bounding box.
That is a CRAZY alteration to get such a different result. Something completely hidden.

Mort.
