I am new to the forum and not native english speaker, so don't mind my mistakes.
First I want to express my gratitude on how wonderful the InkStitch program works and how free one can realize his own ideas with it. It's amazing! I learnt to create embroiderie designs with MySewnet and recently switched over to Inkstitch. My Machine is a Elna who works with "Jef" files and my main hoops are 20 x20 and 20 x28 cm.
My only little problem are big (in size) embroiderie designs. I made myself own templates for every hoop I have, as described in the tutorials. But when I create a design on the virtual 20 x 28 hoop I can export it to a "jef" file, I can even call it up in the MySewnet program and visualize it. But when I put the file on my stick and try to read it out in my embroidery machine it won't show up in the list. The problem is not related to the file size. When I diminish the stitches it won't work neither. On the contrary, when I shrink the size of the embroidery, so that it fits into the 20 x 20 hoop, it works with my machine. Or, I have to convert the already by Inkstitch into jef converted file once again with MySewnet into jef. Than, a large hoop embroidery can be read out by my machine. Then only strange thing is a red warning notice showing up on the Machine screen telling that the file is ready for stitching after the hoop size has been checked out by the machine. Is there something I have to note with converting embroidery files into "Jef"? Or is there someone in this forum who has a clue how to solve this problem? I work with InkStitch only for some weeks and I still have to learn a lot.
Thank you for your hint. I installed an GitHub account (that was quite some work and honestly I have no clue what GitHub is and where I have gotten to now. 🙈). I posted three files there as you suggested. Hope they can help me.
Hello InkStitch community!

Thank you!
Can you reproduce this with just a simple diagonal long line, so we have as less content as possible?
Then save the SVG file, the (not working) Ink/Stitch jef file and the (working) MySewnet file and send all three files over?
Preferably upload the zipped files to GitHub: https://github.com/inkstitch/inkstitch/issues
Hi Kaalleen!
Thank you for your hint. I installed an GitHub account (that was quite some work and honestly I have no clue what GitHub is and where I have gotten to now. 🙈). I posted three files there as you suggested. Hope they can help me.
Thank you for taking the extra step to post the issue on GitHub. That's helping the Ink/Stitch project a lot.
For anyone coming across the same issue, here is where the discussion went on: https://github.com/inkstitch/inkstitch/issues/2702
