Good afternoon all, Trust everyone is well today.

I am currently serving in as a Missionary in Guatemala. I have 30 years experience with ACAD but I am very new to Inkscape. I have been reading the Manuals found online and attempting the tutorials. As I read through the manual with the latest software installed, I am finding it difficult at best to follow as the manual doesn't follow the current software. This is especially an issue when drawing or creating the flags in the beginning of the manual. Has anyone else found it difficult to follow verbatim? It appears to be assumed that one is familiar with Inkscape in order to follow the manual. I need to learn this so I can teach a Spanish speaker how to use it in order to run a small CNC and I do not have a lot of time. Please advise. Thank you in advance for all of your understanding and input.

The quick start tutorials are a bit dated. The tutorials in Inkscape's help menu are a bit better.ย

For very thorough instruction, see Xav's tutorials here:ย https://inkscape.org/forums/tutorials/inkscape-tutorials-in-full-circle-magazine/

Thank you for all of your emailed responses. I completelyย understand the many comments. Inkscape was recommended to me from the CNC manufacturer for its svg capabilities so I had some assumptions that it would be more parametric user friendly. Thank you (Mark) for all of your many hours of hard work putting the tutorials together. I do not dismiss any of it. I do apologize for any comments that may have come across offensive as non were meant to be so. I have heard of FreeCAD and will look into this program. Thank you again for all of the input and suggestions. It is greatly appreciated.ย
