Beautiful, @Inkonic it exudes tranquility. Even the upper left figure (I don't know if it's a Planet, Moon or what, I don't know anything about Astronomy) seems to be asleep 😊

@mrks9 Nice one, Marcos! I like its blue lighting, brightness and shading.

The Voronoi pattern came in handy for your under water background.

Iniatially, I also tried to use it for the rock under the lighthouse but I wasn't very pleased with the result. Probably I didn't try hard enough.

Some really interesting submissions this month. I like that there is so much variance in the entries.

    Marcos González Marcos González @mrks9

@Inkonic Thank you. I used voronoi to give it some texture, but I converted the pattern to bitmap and then used trace bitmap. I separated all the cells and used the color randomize extension. I just wanted some color variation in a subtle way.

I made an attempt to make some leaves in monochromatic orange scale, inspired by the leaves outside that already are beginning to change color.

@mrks9 Hey Marcos. Next time just turn the Voronoi Pattern to path. There is no need to make a bitmap copy of it.

You can do it easily this way: watch short Y/T video

    Marcos González Marcos González @mrks9

Thanks @Inkonic I hadn't thought of that, it's faster. Although for my particular case break appart would not work for me. I'd better explain it to you in the video answer 😊

  18. #18
    Inkonic Inkonic @Inkonic

@mrks9  But you don't have to break it apart. I just did it for the video purposes, to show that even breaking apart is possible. If you noticed, after I broke it to strokes, I took steps back to undo the breaking and bring the object back to its first unpatterned state.
So, repeat the steps without breaking it apart. You only have to do: -Object > Pattern > Pattern to object.
-From that moment on you can do whatever you like with the ex-pattern because it is all combined strokes. You can even turn the strokes to a single path, e.g.

Plants seem to be popular in here and especially monsteras...
Here's my Monstera with some clipping for certain shadows, a great deal of power strokes and a lot of Noise-Fill combined with linear gradient (radial for the wall).
The whole thing is made from scratch and is 100% Inkscape crafted.

Broken. One of the advantages of playing with Inkscape without expecting anything, is that sometimes things happen or effects happen that are not so bad 😄

My entry! I saw that brown wasn't a popular choice, so I chose to do my entry based on that! This is also a fun tarot card, I may make more if people like them. If the SVG file itself is needed, let me know (this is my first challenge).

@katsgraphics That's one beautiful beamish brown baked bean, Kats! Hi and welcome
Yes, you may and should make more of those -and not only those if you want to.
The svg file is not needed, but personally I would suggest you to upload your future files in webp or jpg. Png's i.g. take more from your quota, needed to be able to upload beautiful coffee beans.
