i have tried all versions of inkscape from 1.4 beta 1 to beta 3 and they worked but since a couple of weeks my inkscape 1.4 beta 3 installation closes when opening either an existing document or if i create a new file. I have already tried removing all inkscape installations and reinstalling from scratch but could not solve it. today i removed everything , cleaned up the C:\Program Files\Inkscape* folders and cleaned up both the windows registry and truncated associations and shortcuts , then i installed version 1.4 rc 1 but the problem persists.
when i run inkscape from windows i get the inkscape window that allows me to choose whether to open my own file or make a new one. As I select an item it closes the window and a white window opens with the title Error ( I have the dark theme and the window looks like windows XP ) with the message saying “unspecified fatal error encountered, aborting”
if i run inkscape from terminal i have more information

I'm not seeing anything similar in the bug reports.
