I was working in Inkscape for Mac 1.0.1 on an ancient and dying iMac running High Sierra (the newest system it can run).
I decided I wanted to step back to a previous saved version. So I opened it. But everything was wonky. The cursor behaved as if it was a little higher than I was actually pointing. Then I noticed that the title bar was double, one inside the other.
I restarted Inkscape.
I restarted the computer.
I installed Inkscape 1.0.2.
And still I get the double title bar when I open the program.
I realize that the problem may be entirely in my set (and I reveal my age by using that idiom!). But I thought if someone knew how to fix it, I'd like to. I'm trying to earn some money to buy a new computer. (I was doing badly before COVID hit . . . ).
I completely deleted Inkscape (at least, as far as I can tell—I have a program called AppTrap that removes bits). I guess it wasn't as complete as I thought because I am still getting the double title bar.
If the rapid repost of the "How to Report Bugs or Request New Features" was aimed at me, you'll have to be more explicit. I'm following the instructions. I don't know whether I have a bug or not. Like I said, it could just be some hiccup in my dying Mac. No one has said anything about whether I should or should not put this in the bug list.
I don't have a mac, but I did a quick search for this problem on google.
It seems it occurs in a couple of other programs ( livecode ide and atom.io ) and is related to the handling of a feature called 'tab bars' which generates the 2nd title bar.
'mac tab bar double title' in google and similar terms generates a few results. I'm not sure if this is the same for you or if you can turn it off.
So simple. Unfortunately I had ripped all of Inkscape (and anything that looked like it) out of my system to accomplish the same thing. It's working, but at least next time, I'll know how to do it more easily!
My apologies. I searched on "double title bar inkscape mac", which of course didn't have the answer since it's not an Inkscape-only issue. Having never seen it in another application yet, I didn't realize it was wider than that the one application.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.

Wow.

Thanks so very much!
