Everything was drawn in Inkscape and then imported all SVG's into Enve 2D and made the animation there. Inkscape is my daily drawing tool for everything, I am using it since 0.48 and for me it absolutely my all-time #1 favorite app :) Thank you all :)
Xav and I clink glasses to your accomplishment, not to mention to your good health! Your work here got me thinking about a next possible tutorial in my Inkscape tutorial focusing on animation. The challenge is that Inkscape doesn't have animation capabilities yet. There must be a least one work-around. enve might be that work-around option. I need to think this idea through.
enve's strength is with 2-D animation. I have no plans to explore 3-D. 2-D feels like a good conservative step forward. Blender, in comparison, is like taking a freight train to the corner store for a candy bar.
Thank you very much for sharing your work. I wish you lots of fun with enve, and, of course, Inkscape, Roy
Many thanks! I took a look at enve -- I like the acronym: Enve is Not a Video Editor -- and downloaded it. The video tutorials have already created a serious creative fermentation processs. I think enve is a logical and reasonable next step in the tutorial series. enve is simple and streamlined enough that adding it to the tutorial shouldn't make steam come out of everybody's ears. The point I want to make is that Inkscape can be used to create at least basic animation. My challenge now is to become comfortable with enve and dream up a challenging and yet fun example that can give you basic hands-on experience with making animation. I like that it's 2-D oriented, in contrast to Anim8or, which is 3-D. That is what makes enve so attractive to me right now. Inkscape is primarily 2-D and so is enve, so the progression is reasonable. Again, I appreciate the suggestion and link!
Your suggestion about enve is great. I'm playing around with it, and falling off and getting back on the learning curve. What a way to develop intellectual calluses! I think that I have found a decent example project for Tutorial 19 that should give people a chuckle. It will take time to put the tutorial together as I think though all the details, but the result will be worth it.

Enve is flexible, user expandable 2D animation software for Linux. https://MaurycyLiebner.github.io/
(If you know the workflow of Moho, Enve is very similar to that, but I think it is better...)
Nice work, I like that a lot 😀

Hi Roy,
you can download the source files for enve of the above animation here: https://github.com/MaurycyLiebner/enve/issues/61
Perhaps you can use it in your tutorial...
Have fun :)

Hello dadoprom,
Many thanks once again for introducing me to enve. I just finished putting Tutorial 19 together where we explore and play with enve. It's at:

I hope that you'll like what you see. Again, many thanks!
Best wishes,
Roy
