Now move one of the circles away...the line remains in its position.
Is there a way to fix the edges of a line to be always fixed to the centers of the circles, i.e. (while moving the circles) the line changes its size and orientation but the edge nodes are always fixed to the centers?
You want to be looking at using the 'Connector Tool' Keyboard shortcut O, (4th up from the bottom of the tool list in the default view. The icon looks like a bendy arrow. This will connect to the centre of two objects exactly as you need it.
This is especially useful for doing flowcharts etc.
Create 2 random circles.
Add a line between the 2 centers of each circle.
Now move one of the circles away...the line remains in its position.
