Is there any quick way using inkscape to create linears halftones ? I found this fake linear halftones tutorial, but the result doesn't look so fine to me.
Another way is to do it with gimp and trace the result... But I'd like to do it with inkscape : it would be more versatile, IMHO.
Calligraph tool allows to set width according to background opacity and I found the workaround described in attached file but I would dream there exists an extension to convert curved lines into powerstroked LPE or closed path with fill to achieve the same result (calligraphy tool actually creates closed paths with (here red) fill (hope this sounds clear to you...).
The workaround I describe is quite slow and repetitive, I found no easy way to set exactly the distance between green grid and calligraphic lines (this is eyeball-done, far from perfect).
I hope you will learn me something avoiding this painstaking process : directly converting the red grid into halftones lines.
