Is it possible to restore a transformed object (rotate, scale and so on) to it's exactly original condition?
For example, if I free rotated (without pressing Control) an object and after a while i decided to restore it to it's exactly original position/angle. The Transformation tool (object > transformation) doesn't see to keep the object's original parameters, so it's not possible to just "restore" it.
When the object is in it´s parametric status (not converted) the values are stored in "transform rotated (x.yz) degrees which are accessible via XML-editor.
Other transformations like scale are not recorded or will be stored in a matrix after rotation for instance (shearing). I don't think you can trace that back to the origin status.
thanks! it seems to work as I needed. It's not complicated at all, but would be nice to have this option somehow implemented into the transformation tool.
All I can suggest is that you duplicate or copy your object before you transform it so that you can revert to the previous state. Or what about [ctrl+z]?
