to have my artwork in one thread, I'll add new stuff here.
The first one is a result of my exercise in line art. In my former work, I usually stacked the objects to intersect lines, now I aim for cleaner files using proper lineart and put objects in proper levels, to stay flexible. There is a bw version, a flat colored version, a shaded version and a version with additional shading
This one is like a logo for a doll clinic. Hope you like it. Feedback is appreciated.
They look great! And horns or not, that Viking one is awesome. The horns and the drooping moustache contrast perfectly.
EDIT: Oops, I accidentally gave a heart to my own comment instead of Mondspeer's and I don't know how to get rid of it! (I am not so vain as to like my own comments!)
These are so cute! I can't really decide between the one with the green 'leaves' or the white one. Either one of those is great. I feel the blue leaves in the first one don't 'pop' enough, since the colour is the same as the background.
Thank you very much. It is based on some examples, I found on the net. And I love it to. Reminds me of some old sci-fi novells, I have been reading in younger days. :-)
I like the dolls at the beginning of the thread. Cute characters, clean style - very nice! Those space logos are cool too. The spiral pattern on the moon in the first one looks kinda like a fingerprint :D
Hi there, I was doodling around with shapes (stars & ellipses) to use for character studies and thought, I'd share it with you. Just starting with a random shape (5 or 6 corners, rounded and with some randomnes)
.. and then looking where this may lead me to. Hope you like it.
Back to Children ... this if for one of my grandsons. He is running around the garden with a stick in his hand ... all the time. And like everybody, he is very fond of butterflies. (This one is Anthocharis cardamines, the orange tip. And I am glad, we have this rare butterfly in our garden.)
for work I needed two illustrations. One is the "thought caroussel" and one is an illustration for a famous quote: "The brain is determined by the 'soup' it is immersed in".
So I thought I'd like to share what I came up with. :D
And here is another of my illustrations (thanks to the german support here in the forum, the perspective extension is working, so I could use my compass rose here).

That's a really nice image Gerald. Cute.
OK, here is a second example for my line art practice.
This is another doll, but now kind of park ranger mascot.
Hope you like it. But any feedback is wellcome.
Here are some quick-and-dirty trainings.
Trying to create simple logos or badges in less than 10 minutes.
Tell me, what you think of it.
Nice! Like the banners and the mountain logo particularly.
And the next ones ... just a little practice
And yes, I know, the historic vikings didn't have horns on their helmets. :D

Thanks for the feedback. And I don't mind the heart at your own. comment. :D
I have a new one. Still quick and dirty t-shirt design maybe. Please let me know, which version you like best.

Still really liking that hatching effect. 😁
Thank you. I used the blue leaved version to have a simple color palette. But you are right. It doesnt really pop.
Hi,
I want to share some new stuff. I played around with space and astronautics.
Feedback welcome.
Love the Space Logo one. It's fantastic!
Thank you very much. It is based on some examples, I found on the net. And I love it to. Reminds me of some old sci-fi novells, I have been reading in younger days. :-)
Very good work, Gerald! From top to bottom, nice and clean designs.
Thank you very much

Just playing around with the polygon tool .... to find a bottle cap.
Hope you like it.
Here are some hands, I did from a tutorial on deviantART
Hope you like it.
And yet another. This is the mano cornutta (horned hand), used in Italy and for the rest of the world used in metal concerts.
Hmm, alright... I think the emoticon I gave should fit quite well :D
very nice work! 👍
Thank you, Sven and Vinicius.
Your feedback is really appreciated.

Love the hatchwork on your art. Very crisp.
Thank you. Glad to hear.

I haven't been here for a while. Away from computer, away from inkscape, busy with other projects.
But lately I had fun creating a cartoon turtle and thought, I'd share it with you. Feedback appreciated, as usual.
