In earlier versions (before 1.1.2) any document saved its on-screen position along with the file, but since 1.1.2, this on longer happens. Perhaps it still does on Linux or other OS's, but not on Windows.
Is there a reason for this or did some new setting get added to Preferences that I've somehow missed?
Hmf. Very interesting, Aero. What's your set-up? Number of monitors, laptop or desktop, that kind of thing. I'm assuming you're talking about two machines, one running W10, the other W11.
How odd. Those same settings work for me in 1.1.1, but not in 1.1.2. Perhaps it's my laptop... or the fact that it is a laptop... or I'm not paying homage to the right higher power... or not holding my mouth right. (shrug)

and yet again: https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/how-to-make-dialogs-open-on-my-primary-monitor/
No clue as I don´t use such set up.
Works here on Windows 10 and 11, Inkscape 1.1.2.
Perhaps I should have clarified... This is on Windows 10 (my hardware is too old for W11).
I rewound to Inkscape 1.1.1 for now and it works as expected.
Anyone else?

Yes, two different single monitor desktop machines. The code is written to the svg file as expected depending on the settings in preferences.
