I have been using Inkscape (on Windows) on and off for a year or so and enjoy the possibilities that it offers me. However I am having issues with the XP PEN DECO 01 V2 tablet I am using with it, and was wondering if I can get some advice or help. ● Pen Pressure ONLY works in version 0.91. ● The tablet is detected in the INPUT DEVICE window ONLY in version 0.91. Does NOT work with any version after that. I have also tried various versions of the tablet drivers with no improvement.
With the latest versions of Inkscape (v1.3, 1.3.1) I am having NEW issues. Again the issues are with the tablet (but not with the mouse). ● Paint strokes do not always start when I am drawing in the lower part of the canvas. It is not that I can't draw at all on the lower part. If the stroke starts a little higher, I can continue drawing the stroke until the end of the bottom of the canvas. If I move the canvas further UP on the screen (by panning and zooming) it seems to work as expected. This was not an issue in previous versions of Inkscape.
For the time being I am sticking with 1.2.2 even though I have no pen pressure. It would be nice to have that feature as well.
Are there any known issues with XP PEN tablets? I am using this tablet with other programs such as Blender and Krita and it works nicely.
● System SPECS: I have 2 monitors on my laptop setup. In my latest attempt to troubleshoot the problems I have disabled the smaller laptop monitor and use only the larger externally connected monitor.
