The issue that I want to address is the snapping to tangent feature.
Create 2 different sized circles. Create a line. Try to modify the line such that it will be tangent to the 2 circles.
Now, when you try to move the line by selecting it with the select tool (S), the line snaps to many points, such as cusp, midpoint, center point, etc. but not to a circle tangent (even if the tangent line in snap is checked).
But when you go to the node select mode (N), yes you can move a node and snap it to a circle's tangent.
This behavior seems not consistent with other snap options. As moving the line with (S) snaps to any "requested" point but not to a tangent and I need to use the (N) for a tangent snap.
