I hope I'm not spamming the forum today with too many questions.
I'm working on an animation for an add.
So, here's the scenario: I have a planet in the background and I am creating explosions that will spread planetwide: which is at the lowest level a circle using the roughen filter with each different explosion utilising the [Variation] variable set from 1-21 respectively where the sequence has 50 frames and 21 explosions.
I am setting the tiled clones dialog to 1 row of 50 columns for each explosion, [shift -100% to keep centred], [scale +40%], and then moving a set to each of the 50 layers.
I need to rename each one so i can identify the specific explosion and the size used: for example, E1S1 [e for explosion where the # relates to the variation variable used, s for size 1-50 to identify the specific clone].
Is there a way i can do this automatically; as far as i can tell, the dialog doesn't allow for naming options to spin out named clones with a user set prefix, and instead, assigns a random name of the type: use#####.
I am going to rename the objects [about 1000] all manually after i post this question, but any tips for a similar FUTURE project would be appreciated, or, if there is a more efficient way to have accomplished this task, thoughts on that would also be appreciated,
