I was reading about this here. The first sentence says, "Fonts can be saved in different file formats: OTF, TTF and SVG (and some more)." then further down it says, "These fonts should later be converted to another font file format, to be used in a text editor or graphics program."
Does anyone have any suggestions on any free ones? I prefer one that is very user friendly.
As a side note, is there a reason no attempt has been made to create the ability to export fonts? That would be an incredibly helpful tool.
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on how to accomplish a conversion, I'm all ears.
Are you wanting free fonts or a free program that will allow you to create fonts?
A simple Google search can yield links or sites with free fonts. As far as software, that I do not know. Again, Google would probably yield some options.
There are videos and tutorials which show you how to use Inkscape to create fonts.
ETA: I missed something at the bottom: FontForge.
