What is the quickest way to deal with a black line crossing after a path offset? There doesn't seem to be a special tool for this, does anyone have a method? （Please see attached video）
Join the end-nodes with Join selected end nodes with new segment to make it a closed shape - try Offset again - Go Path->Object to path - select former end nodes to clear the segment with delete segment between two non-endpoint nodes.
Or use Path->Inset/Outset/Dynamic Offset which will close the shape automatically.

... and you´ll get 2 end nodes at the tip.
I have this for printing purposes, no problem.
