Inkscape 1.3

There seems to be a bug... Text overlaps over other text. When I write a sentence hit enter then white another sentence, they overlap on top of each other due to the bounding box... Is there a way to fix it?

First I would reset the preferences and restart Inkscape.

If that does not resolve the issue, then I'd check the line spacing and set it to 1.25 lines or similar.
