I found this tool in 1.2, but I can't use it yet. I have version 1.3 here, and so far I only know one feature of the mirror. I don't know how to use anything else. Does anyone know? Please make a GIF, thanks.
This tool is equivalent to [Path > Path Effects...] [+] [Mirror symmetry]. It creates a mirror image of a selected object and lets you adjust the line line of symmetry.

It's not going to be in the released version, it is just a developer experiment.
Circle is easy. Just click three times in different places. Same for the angle bisector. Line segment and parallel need just two nodes.
Make sure to apply a stroke to the result and to edit it with the node tool afterwards. You can also open the LPE dialog to change the settings.
Or you can just draw a normal path, and toggle the experimental Path effects in the LPE preferences to get to see the options.
