I used Inkscape several years ago. Loved it. However, when I purchcased my Boss Laser, I was not longer using Inkscape for drawing. I went to the original Paint Shop Pro. Things were great!
Until the new Coral Paintshop Pro 2022 was published. I was unable to use the original Paint Shop Pro, due to an update with my Computer. I have struggled with the Coral Paintship Pro 2022 immensely.
My question? Will the Newest Inscape be compatable with my 1416 Boss Laser, and my 1420 Boss Laser. I would love to go back to Inkscape. I have lots of problem drawing with the Coral Paintship Pro 2022.
From quickly browsing youtube, I'd guess that Boss Laser has a Ruida controller in their machines. They seem to suggest LaserWorks as driver software. With this setup, I see no reason, why inkscape 1.3 would not work with LaserWorks and this machine.
Nevertheless, (if it really is Ruida controller), I'd like to mention, that we just achieved a major update of the Ruida driver of VisiCut. VisiCut is an open source driver software for large range of laser machines, and it very well integrates with Inkscape (that is what I use every day). I am publishing recent VisiCut builds at https://fablabnbg.github.io/visicut/
