I am using Inkscape for Mac 1.3 (0e150ed, 2023-07-21) on a MacBook Pro running macOS 10.5.7 (Catalina).
ย
I am having a problem with the Layers and Objects dialog.
ย
I will select an item in a group. As I go to use the Up/Down buttons, the dialog automatically bounces up to the name of the group, so I can no longer see the item selected, so I can't see it move.
ย
It is still selectedโif I click on the arrows, the item and not its group moves, but I cannot see it. I have to count how many places I want it to move and then move it without being able to see it.
ย
Is there a preference I can reset to get it to behave the way 1.2.2โthat is, the display of the Layers and Objects does not jump around as I move to do something to the selected object? Or should I report this as an issue?
I cannot navigate the process. I grant it's probably simple enough for most, but I just cannot manage it.
ย
If anyone else is having this (and the many other problems I'm having with 1.3 for Mac!), please file the bug reports. My brain is too stressed to jump through the hoops.

Thank you!
No preference available, please open a bug report at https://inkscape.org/report .
I'm sorry. . . .
